SOBAS

The 18 students on this years energy course went for 1-3 weeks to Zwolle in Netherlands in September, where they participated on building a self sufficient and zero emission tea house/education center. The design of the building was executed by American co-professor on the energy course, Michael Reynolds (www.earthshipbiotecture.com). The students learned by way of doing how a building can make the most out of passive solar gain, thermal mass and collecing its own energy and water, treating sewage on site and producing food to eat.
